Great people! The tickets are selling really fast now. Only 88 weekend passes left, so go get’em!
And by the way, here is the complete schedule for both days. We couldn’t be happier with the line up. Diverse and beyond kickass!
There will be two alternating stages, as our previous years. The main stage in the church room and the second stage is a club stage in the basement. Both stages have their own unique vibe.
Let’s go!

TONER LOW will play Friday October 5th

With only two months two go, the seismic rumble is getting closer every minute. Riff maestros Toner Low, who’s headlining the church room FRIDAY OCTOBER 5TH, are eager to show us that they mean business:

Quote: “Words can not describe the excitement we’re going through at the moment! The few times we’ve visited Oslo on previous occasions have been very good. We expect it to be even better this time. Looking forward to Høstsabbat a lot”

And don’t forget to get your tickets! The festival passes are selling fast now.

HÄLLAS will play Friday October 5th

Sweden might run for gold in football over the next couple of days, but when it comes to catchy retro rock, they’re already world champions.
It’s with great pride we will welcome the band behind one of last years’ biggest underground hits.

Hällas wil play Church Jakob FRIDAY OCTOBER 5TH.

DOMKRAFT will play Friday 5th October

From the first time we heard Domkraft, we knew they were destined to play Høstsabbat.

After taking the underground by storm, all we can say is; Prepare to be trampled and buried under the intense heavy fuzz. And then repeat until numb.

Domkraft says: “We’ve been aching to go to Oslo for quite a while, and can’t imagine a better reason to do so. The festival will more or less coincide with the release of our new album, so it will be great to premiere a bunch of new tunes in such a perfect setting. We are totally looking forward to blasting those riffs over and over again until we are all one, unified in the spiritual bond that is the synchronized nodding of the head.”

Come and watch destiny unfold. DOMKRAFT will play FRIDAY 5th OCTOBER.

Elephant Tree will play Saturday 6th October

It’s heavy. It’s harmonic. It’s Elephant Tree. In 2016 this UK-based band blew the underground scene away with their self titled album “Elephant Tree”. After the release the band has received plenty of praise. Metal Injection wrote “There is something transcendent about Elephant Tree and the deeper you delve into sitar padded riffs and wide open vocal lines the easier it becomes to realize, this is a band who could turn the doom world on it’s head”. Elephant Tree is also heavily involved in the crowdfunded animated movie project, “The Planet of Doom”, which will be released during 2018.

Elephant Tree says:
“When we heard that we were going to be playing in Norway Jack just fell down stiff on the floor. We thought he was dead but it turns out he was just pining for the fjords.
Coming to Oslo is something we’ve always talked about wanting to do but never been offered, until Høstsabbat got in touch that is! We know there are at least a few people who listen to us in the Scandinavian region and we are stoked to be able to bring our music to them. We also really like fish.”

We’re stoked to present them at Høstsabbat, SATURDAY 6TH OCTOBER.

Høstsabbat + Vaterland = <3

Oslo! During the year we’re going to do some collaborations with the great people at Vaterland. It will be kicked off next Saturday at Musikkfest with heavy DJ sets from Høstsabbat people, and we’ll hand out a couple of tickets to the festival too. Good times! Hope to see you there.

Straight from the wilderness in Salt Lake City comes the crushing sludge band Eagle Twin. They just realeased a new album, “The Thundering Heard”, which Pitchfork has named one of the stoner-metal highlights of 2018.

Eagle Twin says: “We are so excited to worship the riff in a church in Norway! To bow to the altar of amps and electrify the ether from the rafters down to the earth.”

We can´t wait for Eagle Twin to electrify the basement stage, FRIDAY OCTOBER 5TH.

“The Thundering Heard” is available here:
